about the trail
Lagoinha do Leste is one of the natural treasures of the Island of SC/Floripa. Due to its geographic isolation, it is also one of the most preserved beaches, including the whole set: beach - forest - mountains - river. The beach is 1250 m long and has strong waves, good for surfing, and dangerous for swimming on days when the sea is wide. A great and safe option for bathing are the waters of the small river that flows into the north corner of the beach. Small dunes beside the river complete this natural amusement park. The trail, leaving Armação, is just over 4 km long, and it will normally take between 1.30 and 2 hours to complete it to the beach. A trail that requires attention at every step! The other access trail leaves from Pântano do Sul and is 2.4 km long - an average time of 1 hour. We can also choose to go back and forth through the Swamp making the trail easier. For the more radical, we have the option to climb Morro da Coroa (south corner), where you have a fantastic view of the entire region. Steep climb up the coast. From there, we followed an alternative trail to the final stretch going down to Pântano do Sul. A medium level trail, suitable for those who like to walk, especially the Armação - Lagoinha stretch. It requires a good deal of attention and physical preparation, after all it is 8 km round trip - via Armação - including our walk on the beach/river. The climb to Morro da Coroa is optional - you choose whether to take on this extra adventure.
